Round 33: Sao Paulo continued their good run with a superb 3-0 victory against Internacional that puts them in a commanding position to win the Campeonato Brasileiro for the third year in row.

The win was Sao Paulo's thirteen match without defeat. A extraordinary run considering their form at the start of the championship.

Palmeiras moved into second after snatching a last-gasp 2-1 win over Santos at the Vila Belmiro. Kleber put Palmeiras ahead inside the first minute, but

Santos drew level through Kleber Pereira, the league's top goal-scorer, at the beginning of the first half. However, Leo Lima earned Palmeiras three precious points in second half injury-time.

At the bottom, Ipatinga defeated Coritiba 2-0; and Nautico edged out Vitoria 1-0, as both teams attempt to remain in the Brazilian top-flight next season.
