Zinho Quits Flamengo

Emblematic attacking midfielder Zinho quits Flamengo.

He started his career in Flamengo before living Palmeiras lucky years between 1992 and 1994 coached by Luxemburgo and with Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos and Cafu.

After winning the World Cup 1994, he went to Japan to play with Yokohama Flugells for two years.
Then, he played for Grêmio, Palmeiras, Cruzeiro before joining Fla in 2004.

However, Zinho denied that he plans to retire.

Manoel de Brito Filho the former Vitoria Bahia player who was thier top scorer in 2004 last season has joined Flamengo. The arrival of this 22-year old talented player could mean that Flamengo managers may decide to part with their striker, Dimba, who is currently in conflict with the management.
