São Paulo Thrash Mexico's Tigres 4-0 in Copa Libertadores

Rogerio Ceni, São Paulo amazing goalkeeper got two goals from free kicks to give São Paulo a 4-0 win over Mexico's Tigres in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores quarter final on Wednesday night.

Ceni is São Paulo’s primary free kick taker has scored four goals in his past three games.

São Paulo went in front with his first free kick from 30 yards out in the 30th minute. He curled a right-footed shot over the wall and into the left upper corner of Tigres goal.

He added his second in the 58th minute from the edge of the area, this time hitting the right upper corner past.
The goals were Ceni's 49th and 50th career goals, and his 10th and 11th this season. Which is almost unheard of from a goal keeper.

Ceni, narrowly missed a chance to score a hat-trick in the 70th minute when his penalty shot sailed over the crossbar.
Striker Luizao added to São Paulo's lead in the 39th minute by converting a cross from defender Cicinho. Luizao is the all-time leading scorer among Brazilian players in the Copa Do Libertadores with 27 goals.

Midfielder Souza closed the scoring in the 60th with a shot from inside the box after a long pass from defender Junior.
São Paulo striker Grafite left in the 41st minute with a knee injury, and was likely to be cut from the Brazilian national team that will face Paraguay on Sunday in a World Cup qualifier.

São Paulo remains the only unbeaten team in this year's Libertadores. Tigres, was the only other team in the quarterfinals without a loss.

The result kept intact São Paulo's 18-year unbeaten streak in the Libertadores at Morumbi Stadium. Playing 27 matches, São Paulo has won 24 and drawn three.
