It is offical, Benfica Lisbon's powerful defender André Luis joins Olympique Marseille for one year.

The defender who has played only one match with Benfica has been lent and OM have a purchase option which amounts to 6 million Euros.

The player recommended by the former OM's defender, Carlos Mozer, will be introduced to the press today:

"I come to Marseille to play and be champion", he declared to Bola newspaper.

André Luis, 26 years old, joined Portugal in January 2005 from Santos and he won the Brazilian League in 2002 with Alex, the current PSV's central defender.
