Ailton Leaves for Besiktas

Ailton is departing Germany's Schalke for Turkish side Besiktas after only one season at the Bundesliga club.

Ailton scored 28 goals for Werder Bremen in their League and Cup double-winning season in 2003-2004.

Besiktas have offered 3.5 million euros for the player, according to media reports.

"It is a good deal for everyone," 32-year-old Ailton said.
