Christian joins São Paulo

São Paulo FC have officially announced forward Christian's arrival who played since the beginning of the year in Japan at Omiya Ardija.

The former Bordeaux and Paris SG forward joins Paulo Autuori whom he mixed with at Maritimo Funchal and Internacional Porto Alegre. The coach hopes that his protégé forms with Marcio Amoroso a forward duo as powerful as the one during the Copa Libertadores (Luizão-Amoroso).

At 30 years old, Christian expects to boost his career, his last title goes back to 1999 with victories in Copa América and Confederations Cup with the Seleção.

The Paulista club future number 9 is the second reinforcement of São Paulo after FC Porto's playmaker Leandro Bonfim, introduced this Monday.
