After Real Madrid, Liverpool and FC Sevilla interests, São Paulo's Uruguayan central defender Diego Lugano is become a priority for Milan AC.

The Italian club would have offered 4 million Euros but the Paulista club which finished at a disappointing 11th place in the Brazilian League, fixed 8 million Euros to transfer its player.

São Paulo FC's manager Marco Aurelio Cunha retorted: "For 4 million Euros, I can assure that Lugano won't quit São Paulo".

Winners of the Copa Libertadores, Lugano and his team-mates will take part in the FIFA Club World Championship which will take place in Japan from December 11th to 18th with Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia), Al Ahly (Egypt), Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica), Sydney FC (Australia) and Liverpool (England).
