Cicinho Gives Real Madrid Help

It is now official! Real Madrid in a difficult situation will be able to hope for a better beginning of year 2006.

São Paulo FC's right-back Cicinho, 25 years old, winner of the last FIFA Club World Championship, has signed a 5-year contract with Madrid's club.

The Brazilian should replace Spanish Michel Salgado at the right of Real's defense.

"The player, one of the greatest Brazilian hope, will join the team after Christmas break at the time of the next training on December 29th 2005", specified Real Madrid's official web-site.

Cicinho is pointed to as Cafu's successor in the Brazilian selection was the revelaton of the last Confederations Cup with the Seleção.
