In the group 3 of the Copa Libertadores, Goiás easily beat Unión Española (Chile), two nil, at Santiago of Chile yesterday. Danilo Portugal opened the scoring in the first half. In spite of many opportunities, the Brazilian club scored the second goal at the 86' minute thanks to a distant and powerful shot from Fabiano. The former forward of Lille (France) and Cruzeiro, Hector Tapia, played for Unión Española.

In the group 8, Paulista FC drew with Nacional de Quito (Ecuador), 1-1, equalizing at the 81' minute thanks to Abraão who was substitute.
