After a 10 hours meeting,the contract was finally signed.The biggest idol of the last decade is returning to Parque São Jorge.The majority of the monthly salary,about R$150.000 is just a compensation for old debts the club had with the player. In the last time (2001)Marcelinho was involved in many polemical situations,like for example a public rivalry with midfielder Ricardinho who is also back to the club this year.But he says the intention is just doing the best for help Corinthians to conquest Libertadores Cup for the first time ever and won't cause problems even if coach Antônio Lopes decides to use him as an option in the bench. Contract was signed till the end of 2007.
