FA confirm Scolari talks in Portugal

World cup winning ex-Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has jumped to the front of the queue of potential England coaches.

Scolari's contract with Portugal expires after the world cup finals. England's tenure under Sven Goran-ericsson also ends then.

Todays the FA's chief executive Brian Barwick admitted holding talks with Scolari in Portugal.

With the British press heavily tipping Scolari for the role several ex-players, coaches and pundits have been critical of the move but the majority of the press and public would appear to support his appointment.
