São Paulo took the first place of the championship after its success against Fluminense one nil. The Paulista club shares nevertheless this first place with the loser, Flu.

Behind, Cruzeiro and Internacional didn't take advantage of Fluminense's defeat as these two clubs drew whereas Santos lost away against Grêmio one nil.

Lastly, Corinthians lost again, at home against Goias, one nil.
