No surprises for Cafu and Ronaldo

Cafu has not been surprised by World Cup results so far; “I have seen nothing new,” he told Brazilian reporters in Kongstein. As far as he is concerned World Cup 2006 will prove to be a battle of the traditional teams, those who already have World Cup titles to their names.

Cafu’s words seem to echo comments made by Ronaldo earlier today. He too feels that we are unlikely to see any great upsets in Germany. “Maybe we will see some surprises before the quarter-finals but after that everyone will have assumed their positions.”

Preparations for Brazil’s first game on Tuesday are said to be going well and the team is set to leave Kongstein for Berlin tonight.
