Parreira Surprised

Brazilian selector Carlos Alberto Parreira attended the first half of the match between Australia and Japan yesterday.

Parreira gave his opinion about the Socceroos success which beat Japan 3-1, the next Seleção opponents:

"During the first half, the match was very balanced and Australia's victory wouldn't have been surprising. But I surprised by circumstances of this victory when I have been informed that Japan had taken three goals in the last five minutes".

Seleção's staff planned to show a summary of this match to the players the day before Australia's game which will take place on Sunday June 18th.
