Dunga's first game

New Brazil Coach Dunga takes charge of his first game today, in a friendly against Norway in Oslo.

The former captain has called up many young players and voluntarily dropped almost the entire world cup team, the exceptions Cicinho, Fred, Gilberto Silva, Juan, Lúcio, Luisão and Robinho.

The 1994 World Champion is giving the chance to his young talents to prove they are good enough, something that Carlos Alberto Parriera was often criticsed for not doing.

Players such as Jonâtas, recent winner of the Copa Brasil and who has just signed for Español, Marcelo (Fluminense) and Wagner (Cruzeiro) will all be keen to prove their worth.

Norway host the Brazil game hoping to extend their unbeaten record against the five-times world champions having beaten them twice - including the 1998 World Cup - and drawn once. Norway shocked Brazil with a 2-1 World Cup victory in France in the opening round in 1998 and also beat them 4-2 in 1997 and drew 1-1 in 1988, both in friendlies.

"The aim is to give the new players a chance and to form a group but the Brazilian national team always love playing and want to have fun and win," said the new coach.
