Rafael Sóbis in move to Spain

Striker Rafael Sóbis yesterday confirmed that he will be leaving South American champions Internacional for Spain. He refused to name his new club but insiders suggest he will soon be donning a Valencia shirt.

In an interview broadcast on rádio Gaúcha he expressed he spoke of his feelings about leaving the club, “It’s sad to be leaving the club that I love so much - but that is football. It’s not just me that decides, there are a lot of people in the background that had to take the decision. The hour has come and I can leave happily, grateful for everything that Inter has given me.”

The Italian side Milan also expressed an interest in the forward but negotiations are said to have collapsed after they delayed making a formal offer.
