Copa Sul-Americana: Difficult qualification for Santos

Santos qualified for the second round of the Copa Sul-Americana against Cruzeiro at the time of shootout, 4-3, in spite of Cruzeiro's victory one nil thanks to Wagner. So, the two clubs were even on the two matches.

Corinthians beat Vasco da Gama (3-1) and qualified as they won one nil in the first leg. The former Milan AC forward, Marcio Amoroso scored his first goal with his new team. Rafael Moura and Magrão, who scored his first goal too, were the other scorers for the Timão. Diego reduced the scoring for Vasco.

Lastly, Atlético-PR won one nil against Parana thanks to Dênis Marques.
