Gremio's Lucas heading for Europe

Gremio have revealed they have received an approach from Juventus for midfielder Lucas.

Gremio's vice president Tulio Macedo confirmed Juventus's interest in the much sought after player, who has also attracted Atletico Madrid in recent weeks.

Atletico are reported to have already drawn up a shopping list as the Liga side bid to offset the long term absences of the injured Maxi Rodriguez and Martin Petrov.

But the capital club may now face competition for Lucas's services after Macedo made public Juve coach Didier Deschamps's desire to land the 19-year-old prospect, who has already earned the international acclaim of Brazil coach Dunga.
