Dunga is been quoted as having said that that his team is not blessed with as many top players as most people believe.

“Brazil don’t have as many great players as people say,” Dunga told the Agencia Estado news service. “For me, the true great player decides eight in 10 matches. Those who decided two or three can only be called above-average players.”

Dunga has dropped several Brazilian stars since becoming coach – including Ronaldo and Adriano. Even Ronaldinho and Kaka have had to fight for a spot in the starting lineup.

“Don’t get me wrong, I like technical players, of course I want quality in my team,” Dunga said. “But football is performance and the player who is performing better will end up playing.”
