Ronaldinho set to commit to a new contract with FC Barcelona in January.

Ronaldinho's agent and brother Roberto de Assis, is in regular contact with president Joan Laporta and indications are that a deal will take little time to be struck.

Laporta has decided to spend the month of January locked in talks with Assis about Ronaldinho's new contract - which will keep him at the Nou Camp until around 2014. A significant share of image rights has been all but discarded by Barca, but there will be room for joint advertising contracts to be explored in the future.

Ronaldinho will be offered a salary of around £6 million plus his image rights.
