Mexico's FC Pachuca scored four goals in the final 30 minutes as they thrashed Atletico Paranaense 4-1 on Wednesday to reach the Copa Sudamericana final.

The Mexican champions completed an amazing 5-1 aggregate win to earn a place against Chile's Colo Colo in the final of the tournament.

Pachuca, who won last week's first leg in Brazil 1-0, dominated the first half.

But it was the Brazilians went ahead against the run of play just before half time when Jancarlos found Colombian striker David Ferreira, who fired the opener with a right-foot shot.

Gimenez levelled on the hour when he converted a penalty, headed the second from a corner five minutes later and then suffered a foul which led to Paranaense's Jancarlos being sent off in the 66th minute.

Gimenez's compatariot Damian Alvarez made it 3-1 in the 76th minute, shortly after coming on as a substitute, and Juan Carlos Cacho completed the scoring.

Atletico Paranaense coach Osvaldo Alvarez reacted to his team's collapse by blaming the referee.
