Finalists for the FIFA World Player of the Year announced

The three Finalists for the FIFA World Player of the Year award have been announced, Brazil's Ronaldinho, France's Zinedine Zidane and Italy's Fabio Cannavaro.

The winners of the gold, silver and bronze awards will be revealed on Monday, December 18, at the FIFA World Player Gala 2006 in Zurichs.

Ronaldinho, had a great season for Barcelona last year, helping the team to the La Liga title as well as the UEFA Champions League. But his performance in the World Cup in Germany, was average for his high standard.
