São Paulo ranked 8th in the World

São Paulo has been ranked eighth in the world club standing and their keeper Rogerio the best player in the Brasileirão.

Reigning world club champions and now winners of the Brasileirão 2006 São Paulo have jumped up three places in the latest International Federation of Football History and Statistics rankings from eleventh in October. They now share the number eight spot with Lyon (France).

Sevilla topped the standings followed by Milan at number two and Roma in third place.

Meanwhile São Paulo veteran keeper Rogerio Ceni was awarded the title of Player of the Season 2006 by the Brazilian Football Confederation.
