Ronaldo has now completed his move from Real Madrid to Italian giants AC Milan.

Ronaldo penned an 18-month deal with Milan and didn't waste any time telling the press what he thought about his old coach: "After four and a half years with Real, an important challenge awaits me with Milan and I intend to win for this club.

"I've always been happy in Madrid and got on with all the Coaches. All except one?

"He didn't want me and I understood that. I am a professional and love football, so I opted for another solution."

Italy's sports press have given a mixed reception to the signing.

Milan-based sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport applauded the signing of the three-times FIFA World Player of the Year, who pleaded for a transfer after falling out with Real coach Fabio Capello.

Corriere dello Sport, however, was less enthusiastic.

Milan's decision to pay Real £5 million for the 30-year-old Brazilian was not in line with 'its declared intention to invest in young players', argued the paper.
