Flamengo victorious in the Guanabara Cup

Flamengo hit back after a first game defeat to thrash Madureira 4-1 to win the Guanabara Cup for the 17th time.

Flamengo will now play in the Rio de Janeiro state championship final against the winner of the Rio Cup.

Madureira won the first-leg game 1-0 last Sunday and could have taken the title with a draw on Wednesday. However on the day Flamengo were too strong for Madureira who couldn't contain them.
