The Sun newspaper in the UK is reporting that Gilberto Silva has hinted at a switch to Italian giants Juventus.

Gilberto said: "I like Juventus, they are a great club who immediately want to win and return to the highest levels.

"Furthermore, it is Emerson's former club and there are many Brazilians starring in the Italian championship."

But Gilberto, 30, insists Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will decide his future at the club.

He added: "I am an Arsenal player and I am contracted until 2009. The club will have the last word on this issue."

Gilberto could buy out his contract in the summer for just £1.7million under a new FIFA rule.

And the Brazilian's agent Paulo Villana has not ruled out a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

Villana said: "He likes it at Arsenal and there is a contract in place for another two years.

"This is the current situation, but as you know anything can change in life and football is part of life."
