Romario on the move?

Romario may be about to leave Vasco, the striker revealed this morning.

As he arrived at the Tom Jobim airport in Rio he told waiting reporters, “I have offers from a club in Mexico, two in Spain and some Brazilian teams.”

The Mexican club is believed to be Necaxa, as reported by Sambafoot last week.

Romario hinted that his future will be decided on Monday when he meets with Vasco management.

When challenged over reports of a specially organised friendly to aid his bid for the now elusive 1,000th goal he was dismissive.

“I want the 1,000th goal to be in an official match not a friendly. I’ll continue to fight for it to be in the Maracanã.”

He also revealed that this season is likely to be his last.
