The first leg of the Copa Brasil final saw Fluminense snatch an equaliser with just two minutes to go while on Wednesday it was a second minute strike that clinched them victory. Striker Magrão was instrumental in both.
Magrão who hit the back of the net last week while on Wednesday he found an unmarked Roger who duly hit home.
Opponents Figueirense did all they could in search of an equaliser but it was not to be.
Victory in the Copa mean that Fluminense will get there first taste of Copa Libertadores football in 23 years.
Speaking after the match the Magrão told reporters, "I scored important goals in the Copa do Brasil. Didn't I didn't, but I happy to have made the cross to allow Roger to score. Now we go in search of the Brazilian championship."
They lie in 10th place on five points having won one, lost one and drawn two.
