After the weekend's action Botafogo now lead the Brasileirão with 17 points, five ahead of second place Corinthians, though the later do have a game in hand.

Botafogo beat Náutico 3-0 on Sunday despite a conceeding a bizare own goal and Dodô giving missing a penalty, while Corinthians were held 0-0 at the Morumbi stadium by Paraná.
