Resume.

Brazil enjoyed a stroll in the park in Hong Kong as they crushed their hosts 7-1.

The World Cup holders used the game as a warm-up for their 2006 qualifier against Peru next month.

Many people have questioned why this friendly was played against such lowly opposition in Hong Kong. It would appear this was purely a financial move for CBF.

Carlos Alberto Parreira's side had little difficulty in dispatching Hong Kong, particularly as the bulk of their big players were present for the match.

Lucio started in the scoring on 20 minutes.

Roberto Carlos extended the advantage on the half-hour mark before Ricardo Oliveira's goal on the stroke of half time further demonstrated the difference in class.

Ronaldinho made it 4-0 five minutes into the second half before the Barcelona star was given a rest, along with the likes of Roberto Carlos and captain Cafu.

Oliveira poached his second of the game on 57 minutes before Samba starlet Robinho grabbed Brazil's sixth on 78 minutes.

Alex's penalty two minutes later rounded off the scoring for Brazil, with Hong Kong netting a late consolation by Lee Sze-ming.
