Resume.
Only days after destroying Chile in Brasilla, all of Brazil's major stars faced Spanish side Sevilla in a friendly game to mark their centenary, which finished in a 1-1 draw.
Alfaro headed a rebound off the bar into his net to equalize for the five-time world champion after Sevilla substitute Frederic Kanoute had given his team a 62nd-minute lead.
All the Brazilian stars turned out with the only exception, Ronaldo who was excluded by injury.
Surprising, it was Seville who took the initiative at the start of the first half creating the best chances in front of goal by means of Saviola and Luis Fabiano. However, the visitors got into their stride as the half wore on and Sevilla keeper Antonio Notario had to react quickly to stop snap shots from Kaka and Robinho.
Dubious offside calls disallowed a goal by each side. Sevilla's Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano was denied in the 41st minute as was Robinho two minutes later.
Carlos Alberto Parreira made eight changes at the half time break including bringing on former Sevilla forward Julio Baptista.
So many changes to the team distrupted Brazil's shape, eventually leading to a goal for ex-tottenham striker Kanouté who managed to beat to Dida and give Sevilla the lead.
Just when it looked as though Sevilla were set for a memorable victory, in the 85th minute Sevilla captain, Alfaro turned the ball into his own net after a teasing cross from Adriano rebounded off the post into his path.
